The Battle of Narnia took place in The Beehive Honiton this weekend when Honiton Community Theatre rehearsed a scene from The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe. The whole cast were assembled to rehearse the big battle scene in act two which sees the White Witch’s forces clashes with the brave Pevensie children and Aslan’s army.
With special thanks to Elena who led the stage combat workshop, we put together a huge fight scene where stage combat techniques using swords, spears, fist fighting and ‘stage falls’ were combined to make individual routines for each member of the army in the scene. This is in addition to the action going on during the battle where the White Witch fights Peter and our 8ft tall Aslan comes to the rescue just in time.
